Stockport’s recently opened Royal Nawaab Restaurant served up more than just delicious food this week! It delivered unforgettable memories to local children supported by the charity, Transport for Sick Children (TFSC), based here at SBIC.
On 20th August, the Indian Pakistani banqueting restaurant based in the iconic Stockport Pyramid welcomed 15 children and their families for an evening of food, fun, and entertainment. They were chauffeured in style to the restaurant in luxury cars which the Royal Nawaab had thoughtfully arranged, an exciting start.
They enjoyed a wide selection of hot buffet food, a live magic show which kept the youngsters thoroughly entertained by the way and goody bags to take home!
Marie-Anne Eckersall from Transport for Sick Children told us, “We are absolutely thrilled that Royal Nawaab chose to support us. For many of the children, this was a one-of-a-kind experience and we’re incredibly grateful for the generosity shown to both us and the families who attended. It truly reflects their commitment to the local community.”
It was a great opportunity for TFSC to showcase what they are all about too…. they recruit volunteer drivers who have their own cars. The volunteers are then matched with children and their carers all across Greater Manchester who need to get to essential medical appointments.
They’re always looking for new volunteer drivers too so if you can help, please visit their website for more information.
