The shortlist has been announced for Stockport Business Awards 2017. The awards, now in their 6th year, were set up by Stockport’s Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants back in 2012 to recognise and reward business excellence in the town.
We are absolutely delighted that 3 of our tenants have been shortlisted as follows:
Most Promising Young Business – AAI Group and FilmMyMatch
Best Creative / Design Agency – Trust
Chelsea Maher, Marketing Manager at Clarke Nicklin, commented; “The quality in entries this year was the highest it’s ever been which was great to see. I think that’s a really positive reflection of the vibrancy of local businesses and the success they’re currently experiencing. Judging day is always a tough one, and this year it was harder than ever, the panel really had their work cut out! We’d like to thank everybody who entered for taking the time to engage with the process, and congratulate the shortlisted companies on making it to this stage. Best of luck to everyone for the night!”

Dave Roe, Director of our Pioneer 10 winner this year said “FilmMyMatch has used SBIC throughout our evolution as a business, from accessing the Business Lounge, using the cost-effective meeting room space and attending a range of free business support sessions. More recently, our success in the Pioneer 10 small business competition has provided us with access to office space for 12 months, which we hope will enable us to grow the business much more quickly than would otherwise have been possible. SBIC is a fantastic hub for the Stockport business community and we look forward continuing to grow our business here in the coming years.”
Winners will be announced at a Black-Tie dinner at Stockport Town Hall on 12th October which 400 of Stockport’s finest will attend.
